01.01.13 I love the Christmas cards we get and always hate to take them down, but it is time to take down Christmas. As much as I love them as decoration on my blank walls they have to come down. It is so much fun to reread them as I take them down and remember all our friends and family at this time of year.
01.10.13 We are getting ready for Kirsten's friend birthday party. I had some fun beads that Kirsten was able to make into bracelets for her friends. She had so much fun making them. She is pretty creative, just like her mom and loves to make things. Esther and Peter on the other hand were out of our hair with a couple iPods. That way beads stayed on the table and not all over the house.
01.12.13 Kirsten wanted to have a penguin party and hopefully we didn't disappoint. We made the cake based on a cake we found online. I went to about 5 stores before I was able to find the penguins. Kirsten planned the party to have a penguin walk (cake walk), pin the nose on the penguin, penguin races and a little bit of Wii Dancing. She had her great friends over and they showered her with wonderful gifts. It was a fun day for everyone.
01.13.13 We woke up this morning to icy cars. In my head I figured that when we left for church at 1pm that the ice would be gone, but I was wrong. Without the sun we had a sheet of ice on both cars that would not come off very easily. I am glad it was just the ice and not a bad storm that knocked down power lines and trees.
01.24.13 Found this cute note from Peter on my white board. I really love the "Mom Love me". It almost sounds like a question and I do love you my little Peter!
01.25.13 Peter is showing Esther how to use my sewing machine. I am sure it is kind of like the blind leading the blind. I love that they want to work beside me and sew.
01.26.13 We took a quick trip to Monon, Indiana and visited a really cool train museum. I forgot to get pictures of the train that went over our head while we had lunch at the Whistle Stop Restaurant. Monon is about 2 hours south of where we live. It has a really amazing train museum with "the largest collection of train memorabilia" according to them. It was a pretty large building and there were many signs, lanterns, plates and various other train items. Outside there was a caboose you could climb in and many other trains to look at. I think the kids loved it. I know that they couldn't keep their eyes off of the 4 trains that went around the restaurant.
